I spent years working in the pharmaceutical industry — developing and validating formulations with the precision that drug development demands. Extraction, stability, bioavailability, degradation — not abstract concepts, but daily professional responsibilities.
But I also grew up in a home where skincare was never purchased — it was prepared. Turmeric, sandalwood, manjistha, saffron — used with patience and intention that modern beauty has completely forgotten. A sophisticated science that predated laboratories by five thousand years.
Aiva Ritual was born from the realisation that pharmaceutical precision and Ayurvedic wisdom were never meant to be separate. I built this brand to unite them properly, for the first time.

As a medical student, I am trained to think about the body the way my mother thinks about formulation — systematically, precisely, and with deep respect for evidence. I ask not just what an ingredient is, but how it interacts, how the body receives it, and what the science says about its effect on skin biology.
When my mother came to me with her vision for Aiva Ritual, I saw immediately that it deserved medical rigour applied to it. We spent a year working through every decision together — solubility, temperature sensitivity, extraction timing, ingredient interactions.
This is what medicine and science look like when they serve something beautiful. I am proud to have helped build it.

If an ingredient is in our formula, it earns its place. Not to extend shelf life, reduce cost, or improve texture at the expense of integrity.
We will never launch a product we would not use ourselves.
Every formulation is tested on the people who made it first. If we would not put it on our own skin, it does not go on yours.
